Grey Zone

Silence echoes between the stone walls, and time loses its dominion in this narrow passage. While the heavy and dark shadows of the past descend on one side, the pale and timid light of the future hits the walls on the other. A person belongs neither to full light nor to full darkness; they remain suspended on these infinite stairs, in that gray void where decisions have not yet been made.
